Message From Meeting Chair

It is a great pleasure to warmly welcome all of you to the ‘2023 International Conference on Frontier Materials’ (ICFM), which is the 2nd ICFM conference after the successful inauguration of the 1st ICFM conference held in May, 2022. Initiated and sponsored by the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) and Advanced Materials Alliance of CAST members Societies (AMAC), ICFM 2023 will continue to serve as an open and exciting forum for researchers from materials science and interdisciplinary fields to present their new and stimulating scientific discoveries in the advanced materials to the worldwide audiences. The conference will again fulfill its commitment as an international platform for researchers from industrial laboratories, academic institutes and business entrepreneurs to discuss research development and technology transfer as well as the potential impact of Frontier Materials in commercial and industrial applications. In the 2023 event there will be again announcement of winners of the prestigious IUMRS Frontier Materials Awards designed to recognize scientists and experts who make long-lasting impact in frontier materials, and encourage young researchers to devote their career in frontier materials research.

ICFM 2023 will take the form of on-site participation, and it will include 31 symposia and 4 forums grouped into the following eight topical clusters:

B. Advanced Information Materials
C. Advanced Bio & Bio-inspired Materials
D. Advanced Structural Materials
E. Advanced Functional Materials
F. Low-dimensional Materials
G. Design, Preparation and Evaluation for Materials
H. Forums

One of the specific forums is designed for graduate students so that they can have a common platform to showcase their exciting findings and also connect with each other, one will focus on materials industry development sponsored by local government, while the other one will focus on materials journals.

The conference organizing committee has been working hard to provide a unique experience for all conference attendees, and we are looking forward to seeing you all in Qingdao!
